Edited highlights

- links need to be re-established between individual members and policy making
- review money flows to strengthen professional support for the membership, recruitment, political education and campaigning at a local level.
-the branch should be the primary unit of party organisation, essential for campaigns
- Constituency GC needs to meet 10 times a year to get through business of governance; policy formulation, political debate and social activity are all essential too
- Resolutions and contributions to policy documents submitted by party units should be posted on the party website to stimulate public debate
-The TU link need to be strengthened with affiliated branches run by loyal Labour party members for effective local campaigning
- Selection of parliamentary candidates should be by CLPs from any eligible Labour Party member
- Young Labour should be democratically constituted part of party structure
- Head Office and the Regional, Scotland and Wales offices need to understand the link between a mass membership, active party and good election results. Work on recruitment and development is part of winning elections, not a distraction from it.
