Constitutional amendments - AGM 2004
Proposed by STLP members


The following three proposed amendments, set out below, were all submitted by Dave Brown of Manchester:

a) That the statement of purpose be amended to read:

“Save the Labour Party’s purpose is to maintain and develop the Labour Party as a  democratic and socialist/internationalist organisation.”  (change in bold).

b) Add to the present constitution the following  clause:

Access for People with Disabilities

“All Save the Labour Party events shall be held in premises with full access for people with disabilities in accordance with recent disability legislation”

c) Election of Officers. 

Amend the section on officers by adding:

“Officers shall be elected by members attending the AGM from amongst the members of the Committee”.
